Coconut Truffles


As I have already mentioned in the previous posts, I am a dark chocolate fan and the combination of coconut with nuts and dark chocolate...... yum!!!!

    This is a simple recipe for rich coconut truffles you can make at home. The ingredients are easily available 


Ingredients (the standard measuring cup, 1 cup = 250 ml)


·       1/4 cup red and yellow tutti fruity
·       1/4 cup almonds cut into small pieces 
·       1/4 cup walnuts broken into small pieces
·       1/4 cup dark chocolate chips      
·       1/2 cup desiccated coconut 
·       2 table spoons orange peel - optional 
·       150 gms condensed milk - (Milk maid)
·       200 gms dark chocolate compound

Instructions:
·       In a bowl, mix the tutti fruity, almonds, walnuts, chocolate chips, coconut and orange peel.
·       Then add the milk maid to the mixture so that everything binds.
·       Next make small balls of the mixture. Its enough to make 13-15 balls



·       Refrigerate in the deep freezer for 15 mins
·       Take the balls out and melt the dark chocolate compound in a double boiler.
·       Dip the balls in dark chocolate and refrigerate for another 15 mins.
